Things I discovered on Monday

Postby 48v » 14 Jun 2018, 17:50

A pigeon and a motorcycle travelling at 60mph are not good things to put together on the same bit of road at the same time.

This leads to an obliterated screen, a smashed piece of trim above the lights, the complete loss of all the bolts and rubber bungs to hold the screen to the bike.

However, things could be worse.

Glad you made it through it. We have to really watch the wild turkeys on the Natchez Trace. If they spook and get in the air it can be a very unhappy occasion. ;-)

Thanks Uncle Phil

Oh wow, I REALLY wouldn’t like to have met anything that size and weight.

I saw it rise from a grass verge and just knew it was coming at me so I had tome to dodge my head and upper body but not move the bike. Ah well, it’s only plastic.

If those cattle get into the air I suspect there would be more damage than a simple smashed screen.

You've never seen a flying cow? ;)
They may not get into the air, but if their 'exhaust' lands on the pavement, a rider might ...

. I spent a lot of time on farms when I was a kid, I’m only too familiar with their exhaust.
