I'll get round to trying the camera one day. It was quite deflating to get all this stuff for a short trip to the I.O.M. and not being able to go through unforseen problems at home. Still, I now have plenty of time to learn what it can do - while trying to avoid any pitfalls. I don't expect to use the waterproof cover, nor wear the thing on my body or helmet. I do have some brackets to try out , as shown...

Each position on the bike has merit, but any advice on how and where to use this stuff for best effect is appreciated... :D
For those with sharp eyes, my screen isn't a standard fitting and there is a patch of tape on the camera that I hoped would reduce wind roar. - But it doesn't!

I run my cheap Chinese knockoff right behind the windshield - for it's protection and to give me the best view. If the windshield is clean and the lens is close, the windshield pretty much disappears -

I would keep the camera mounts/posts as short and sturdy as possible.
The RAM-mount style ones look pretty good, the windscreen will start to flex and generate vibrations though, but the thin sheet-metal on the left lower faring will definitely start to swing in resonance...
One could also consider some suction cup camera mounts as a non-destructive mounting. Should work well on clean, not too curvy surfaces like pannier lids or fairing; not without a tether though... just to be sure... ;)

Suction cup with a tether is exactly what I use - right inside the windshield.
