Before I start trekking through eBay I thought I would ask here first......would anyone have a right hand side mirror cover with indicator lens for an 1100 that the might be prepared to part with?

I had a bit of an 'incident' which involved both bike and I sliding down the road for a few yards and the only obvious damage is the smashed pod, even the mirror folded away properly and remained intact. I'm fine, just a badly scraped visor and a few bruises....mainly pride to be honest.

Yup, that's a pretty fair summary. I lost concentration and was bitten. :-)

Good to hear you are ok. But sorry cant help with the mirror housing.

Wow just looked on Lings Honda Parts and price is £64, I cant find the part on David Silvers Spares......but Im sure the last time I needed on it was only about £35 from my local Honda dealer. And there is also eBay, but they can sometimes go for more than the new price.

Sorry to hear of your mishap and glad you are ok, I'm sure David Silver do not list all their available parts as it changes all the time so its worth a call to them. I certainly got a mirror lens housing and crash bar cover from them when my 1300 was kicked over many years ago, the parts was not listed on their website at the time.

DSS does have some in stock, search for part number 88111-MT3, some colours more expensive than others :o this is only for the cowl, the turn signal is a separate item

Cheers all, I will probably have to bite the bullet and get a new one, unless my experiments with superglue and bicarbonate go well.

I do love my bike, but she isn't cheap when I bend her. Please feel free to make your own jokes at this point. :-))

I would buy one pre painted in your desired colour, when I was repairing my bike after it was kicked over I initially got my mirror housing sprayed and it looked ok until I fitted and it was a shade out when sitting next to the fairing , it was not perfect and I thought the difference looked so obvious I bought one pre painted and sold the resprayed one on eBay.

I completely agree, although as a ridden all year round 1996 bike I think I might be hard pushed to match anything to it except some dark grey. :-)
