Re: livery templates?

Did anyone ever ran into full scale templates for the livery on ST1100 squad bikes?

How about something patriotic, Martin?

Would look like this in my area:

Please note the "bankruptcy-vulture" in the centre... :D

So besides that "parrot" kinda boring... ;)

Contacted an MFG for road and traffic signs, parcel arrived just today, yep, that's now a true fluorescent, high reflective nuke yellow, that will make your eyes bleed ;)

Hope I find time this w/e to start with the templates for the livery...

So, livery pretty complete, MOT passed, bike running excellent, shift linkage needs minor adjustment (the default setting is a tat too high for my legs & big hoofs...)

Next project would be the aux lock-switch, enabling operation of the flashers with ignition OFF and key removed (as seen on the UK police squad bikes).
Any clues where to obtain such? (haven't seen Hound for a while...)

I think you need one of those jackets which have on the back "DO YOU SEE ME NOW MOTHERFUCKER?"

LOL!

Well, the reactions towards the rig are controvert...
On my way to the MOT station, a white Beemer cage tried to "push" me from the side, cutting into my lane, probably hurt in his "superiority"... since it was raining I backed off the throttle thinking "...yeah, go ahead, hell ain't half the fun..." I won't get myself forced into situations on wet roads...

On the way back, something peculiar happened:
Still raining I was idling behind a blue Golf/Rabbit Combi at a red light... when it turned green we both crossed the intersection, on the other side the Golf then instantly pulled over to let me pass...
Nice touch, I "footwaved" a thanx and throttled away...

However: the car did have a small [Police] sticker on the tailgate... things to make you go "...uuhm..." and that...

I do have a dayglow, genuine UK-police motorcycle jacket with all the reflectors on which I've swapped the [POLICE] badges with [MARSHAL] ones, intended to be used during Gatherings.

I further have a long sleeve, reflective over-vest, on which I still struggle to get the silver [POLICE] letters off the shoulders (local law enforcements might not be too happy to see me... ;))

But the idea of getting one with the suggested SEE ME NOW ASSHOLE?! (B.A.D.D. campaign)is indeed pretty tempting
I'm positive that even them LEOs will get a chuckle out of that... ;)

Since the voltmeter readings during the ride to and from the annual MOT were not truly "invigorating", I'd decided to attack the root cause and go for a 40A alternator upgrade...

Found a Dutch breaker on eBay, selling a decent looking, complete set (including the required drive and base) for affordable € 380,-...

Currently the shipment is en route, should arrive during this w/e...
