Hi. I was browsing for other items on DSS and came across this -

Still not a cheap part but not the £600 that they usually want. :D
Today as all days...

While it is a welcome move in the right direction Cammie, it is still a lot more than they pay over the pond for the same thing from the same manufacturer.

Can we not have a Common Market with the Merrycans instead of the EU, paying the same prices as they do for things. :D

Compatible if you need to replace a 40A unit, but not suitable for an 'upgrade' from a 26A unit, as its missing drive/gears.

I saw a vid on I think you tube some time ago of how to fit the bandit alternator to an st1100 by just making a back plate and of course it is a lot cheaper than an origanal part from Honda and just as good.

I've always thought it would be relatively easy to adapted the 1300 alternator to the 1100. They're close to identical, based on appearance.
The ultimate path is easy.....simply avoid choosing.

I have just seen this vid, and searched to see if we had a thread for it, and found it had been mentioned here before.

Here is the vid refered to. It is a 4 part video, but hopefully anybody interested will then find the other three.
