In Today's Mail

Postby alans1100 » 07 Mar 2016, 04:05

After the Techmount solution for my phone which didn't fit my sat nav the products listed in this link viewtopic.php?f=8&t=14219&start=10#p185324 arrived this morning. The ball mount for the dash shelf arrived a few weeks ago, the holes drilled and the dash shelf was dropped off at the powder coaters in Port Pirie when I took Heather down for her flight to Darwin.

The shelf is waiting for us to be picked up when we go over to Pirie on Thursday.

The X-Gripper (large size) and the socket arrived this morning and it should all (including phone mount) be mounted to the bike next weekend.

X-Gripper and 3 inch Socket - total cost delivered was $73 from One Planet Communications http://www.oneplanetcommunications.com.au/ the X-Gripper was available on their eBay store but the 3 inch socket wasn't so I found the store website and bought both from there saving them a few eBay/PayPal fees. I had bought the ball mount on their eBay store before so getting the other items from them seemed the right thing to do.

The screen size is ok for me as I can read it without my reading glasses while riding as the smaller 5 inch screens are useless while on the move. Pics coming after the install.

Could have taken one of my 8" netbooks instead :D

Wonder how you'll get along with your Hans-Hans... made by a folk of mariners, for road navigation, in Oz... that's gonna be a tricky one Image
