Haven't notified me at all... but it seems to have left customs today...
Charging for two plastic clips would surely raise an eyebrow... and a voice...

Just shows the difference between the USA and the EU.

A few years ago I sent a motorcycle part to the USA and it took 3 days from my house the theirs.
He sent one back to me and it was sat in UK Customs for 10 days before they emailed me and requested a customs charge to be paid before they released it.

Too many, overpaid, privileged gov employees/officials leeching on the tax financed system...

I wouldnt mind but most times its just a "handling fee" of £17.50 or if your unlucky that and VAT @ 20% yet Chinese goods seem to go through customs without issue.

Here they simply slap their 20% import turnover tax on the entire bill, including the shipment costs...
Unless its some exotic thing they can't wrap their weird minds around, then they add 10,- surcharge...

Chinese are more inventive with their parcel stickers, most comes labelled as [gift] or [product sample, no resale value]
Ditto with Japanese, had NOS MiniDisk packs shipped by a vendor in fancy wrapping, marked as [personal gift], hand written label, with a small origami swan attached... neat, felt like birthday 8-)

Thanks but it's all good.

Actually Techmount offered to make another mount like the one I bought but with slightly longer arms to fit the thickness of the TomTom GPS but so far I haven't taken up the offer.
