Photo editing question

Postby mbrST1100 » 20 Jan 2013, 21:08

Hi,

anyone got an idea how to enhance a photo like shown below?
Tinkered with PaintShop, Gimp, Photoshop but just can't get that effect; possibly I'd need to work with RAW format there...

Also seen that on colour images, adds an amazing 3D effect...

It looks like a dedicated commercial Photoshop plugin Martin.

There's a lot of work in that photograph, what's with the girl on our rights left leg. More of a worry would be the state of her bikes front tyre look near the bottom that looks like some serious curbing damage.

Managed to recreate it to some point, Photoshop and filter [high pass]...

But there is also some posterizing done in the pic...

Right on...
You need to start with a series of takes with varying exposures, merge them into one HDRI and edit the properties like shine or dynamic there.

Quite cool, I'd intended to use such as background in DVD menus and/or gallery pics for the hallway.
