Finally managed to log back in!

Postby Allan Bool » 19 Apr 2017, 08:47

Well... it has been quite a while since my last drink... ooops, wrong forum... since I last managed to get into the site. I could try to login but it would refuse me and tell me I had exceeded my limit (again???) on the first try. I tried to re-register but it said that my email was in use by another user (me!!) or other stuff so that didn't work :-( Eventually I gave up trying and just lit up the site every now and then to see what you folks were getting up to. Tonight, I tried the login again and after a couple of false starts, it let me back in, so aftr about three years in the wilderness, I'm back!!

Cheers,
Allan

Allan - Glad to see you back. I hate we couldn't connect when I was in New Zealand, but sometimes that's just the way it is.

It's a total mystery to me what was going wrong but I'm happy you found the front door lock key again.

Hi Pieter,
this all started quite a while back when my original (the old my-mc) login stopped working and you helped me sort out a re-registration so that everything would continue. After filling in all the slots as required, the registration worked again for a couple of logins but then it stopped completely and I couldn't get past the gatekeeper :-( Naturally, I couldn't get in touch with you, either so I just kept trying to log in every now and then. I have no idea what has changed but it is working again using the new login I set up about three years ago. My old one still doesn't work but I didn't expect that it would and now it is of no consequence :-)
Anyway, good to be back and I am pleased to see so many familiar faces still here. Thanks for keeping the site running.
Cheers,
Allan

Hi Uncle Phil,
glad to see you still posting and riding despite your recent trials and health issues :-( I hope that you are holding up a bit better now and that life is being somewhat more kind.
Cheers,
Allan

Allan - I'm on the mend and each day gets a little better. I know why they call these the 'golden years' - it takes so much gold to do all the repairs on these older model bodies ... :D

Hi Jeff,
Yup, I have to agree with your Ma. Mine is 95 and still going strong and will probably outlive me ;-)
