Maxton rear shock for ST1300

This is a MAXTON NR4 monoshock for a ST1300.

Purchased new in 2009, and at that time included a remote pre-load. It's been a superb piece of kit that has served me well over the last few years, but suffered as most aftermarket shocks (Wibers/Hagon/WP and many others) from problems with the remote pre-load - it seems that only Ohlins have it sussed but they cost £1000+ . As a result last year Maxton removed the pre-load, serviced the shock and returned it to the NR4 spec, and it's done less than 2000 miles since then. It is adjustable for rebound damping, and pre-load is also easily adjustable with a bar attachment takes only seconds, the hardest part is removing the bikes side panel!

The reason that I'm selling it is that I'm working up to sell the bike as my shoulders are causing me serious grief (duff rotator cuffs) and I'm on the search for a lighter machine.

Mechanically it's in perfect condition but there are some scars on the spring from removal/replacement prior to its servicing. They are built to suit the rider, so it's relevant that I weight in at about 14.3 stone kitted

I'm looking for £300 ovno.

oh-seven-8-five-eight three-treble four-eight-four.
