CPU fan dead

Postby Pieter Huizinga » 13 Sep 2014, 17:03

One of the CPU fans in the server died this morning so you may have seen some downtime.
It's all fixed now. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I go in to so many cramped dusty comms rooms and see switches caked in dust with fans straining under the weight of the dirt, and most replies when I point this out is that they will just change the switch when it fails.....very ProActive response!.

Im sure your server room is not like this though.

Servicing the A/C in those technologic dungeons I too never seize to be astonished about the load of grime and filth in those, expected "clean rooms"... :?
