How Do I Setup To Just See The New Posts

Postby Uncle Phil » 03 Apr 2013, 00:05

Since I'm not familiar with this BB software, where is the setting that lets me mark all posts as 'read' and then only see those that are new after that point? Thanks.

When I'm on my PC they're is an option after i click on a main link to read, active posts, or unread posts, and my posts. I can check better when i get home tonight.

Yup, that's correct. Mark all forums as read, then use "view unread posts" to, well, view all unread posts.

As an alternative, to get an email if there is a new post, you can "subscribe" to a topic or even to an entire forum, in the footer line.
Note that posting a reply does not auto-subscribe you by default, but you can turn that on in your user profile.

Finally, you can subscribe to the RSS feed, or follow the board on facebook or twitter. This will inform you of new topics posted.

This topic is highly informative for new users.
If you don't mind Phil, I've moved it to the Announcements section where there are more "How does this board work" topics.
