Our first m/c movie effort

Postby Forest 1100 » 23 Sep 2013, 07:55

Making a video recording from a moving motorcycle with a very small, hand held Panasonic TZ5 Lumix camera does NOT produce steadycam results. However, I credit my dear wife for her effort and have produced the following short video from our 7 day ride through Washington state. Look past the shake and occasional moment when the camera was challenged to focus properly and you might enjoy it! At least the audio track is good, I think, so turn up the volume. I might consider getting one of those Go Pro cams, now that I have had a taste of this.

One negative thing about Vimeo is the limit on file size for a basic (free) membership. 500 Mb for a video, so having to compress to SD from the original HD quality of the movie kinda sucks. Thanks for watching and feel free to offer up comments or criticisms.

Thanks very much to both you and your good lady. That looked like a nice trip with great weather, roads and scenery. Well done on the editing too - the music sets the tone really well. What a great start to a Monday morning.

Bill. I thought about asking the same question - but just used Shazam on the phone to identify them. If it worked then the tunes are
1. Celestial Soda Pop from the L.P. Deep Breakfast by Ray Lynch
2. Two of Us by The Beatles
I had never heard either of them, but thought they were great.

I noticed the similarity at the start of Celestial Soda Pop too.
Wonder which came first??
