German Motorway Tolls from 2016

Postby Ali in Austria » 02 Nov 2014, 09:56

Information in the press out here only mentions cars so I am not sure if this will apply to motorcycles.

10 Euros for 10 days seems quite reasonable considering what you have to pay in France.....so long as we introduce a similar scheme over here and get our road tax reduced.....not going to happen I fear.

Yes, but the scam lies in the fact that German vehicle holders will get that toll deducted from their vehicle tax...
Thus a road pricing that only hits non German vehicle owners (so a discrimination of other EC citizens) which does not comply with EC constitution... and this is what the emotions and debates raise over...

I have not figured out their hidden strategy behind that yet...
Fact is that the "big" EC voters Germany, France (and UK) always get their crap enforced...

While there were benefits for London, like that total deregulation of the financial markets (we know what that had brought us in the end...), your boys were quite keen, busy and a major driving force in Brussels...
But now when its not playing along with the expectations, like when Merkel puts her foot down on your plans of reducing the migration, they play "defiant in the corner of the school-yard", moaning "we don't want to play with you no more"... ;)

Don't worry, in some points I'm with you, I'd be among the first to vote for the withdrawal of AuSTria...
We finally burst the 8% unemployment rate, and no one dares to give us demographic data about who are those out of job... go figure...

You are getting mixed up with London and the UK two separate entities entirely. ;)

Yeah... watched some Monty Python recently, where there referred Yorkshire as "3rd world country" ;)
