Europe minus Britain.

The weather is a bit out of sorts this year. Much colder and wetter than normal and snow higher up.

Also such conditions have their charm, after all do we want to explore nature and environment...

Mary and I begin the riding portion of our adventure tomorrow. So far we have toured the immediate Seefeld area and took the train to Innsbruck and walked about the Old City section. I have my GoPro camera with me to capture whatever I am able to. We are thoroughly enjoying the people and sites of Austria.

Sounds good Tom. Enjoy! It's beautiful there!

Just a quick note about our first day riding here. It rained a good portion of the day. Not ideal but it's not the first or expect last ride in rain. I'm not big on big group rides. Somehow I thought this would be different. We split into two groups there were still a dozen bikes in each group.

Austria is a beautiful country even through the rain.

Unfortunately the weather isn't good this week. Actually that is a bit of an understatement. Next week looks promising but I'll believe it when I see it.

Yesterday I took some guests up to The Eagles Nest at Berchtesgaden as they were determined to go even against my advice. It bucketed down all day and you could barely see your hands in front of your face but at least they have done it I suppose.

Hopefully the rest of the trip will go well Tom. :)

...... and now the self promotional bit - If you decide to repeat the experience 8hopefully in better weather) and want a one to one guide or at worse, under 6 bikes, based out of one location give me a shout :D

My regrets... anything over 4 bikes (with experienced riders) mutates into a moving road-block in this terrain... anything above that suck the fun out of it...

Agreed. Passo Della Stelvio today and back via Switzerland. The weather was perfect for riding. The ride today was one of the best I've experienced on a motorcycle. There were three motorcycles in our group that went down on the ride up the pass. One right after another on one of the first very tight right hand turns. I keep my distance.
