Your drinking poor Scotch if it's burning Forest. You can always add a wee drop of water to bring out the flavour maybe ice but for the life in me why would you want to disguise a taste with another. Coke and Ginger ale are pungent enough to kill any subtle whisky taste they will not enhance it at all. Find another drink to your palates liking, don't kill the whisky.

+1 on the drop of wather as long as its pure Scottish spring water!! Must be neutral to not falsify the taste of the well aged distillate... But please leave the ice out...

Concur, wholeheartly!

I normally don't drink alcohol, professional driving, riding and that... but the occasional shot of a top notch whiskey in the evening, on which I then nibble and 'wetten the tip of my tongue' for the next 30 to 45 minutes is a thing I really enjoy celebrating :D

Good news Keith. I am weekend off on those dates. Will be up for an RTE or similar. Let us all know where you will be and I am sure something can be arranged. Cheers.

Should we open an RTE thread and see if anybody else wants to join in?

Saturday or Sunday?
