Happily we only had a little drizzle. Even that held off until This afternoon.

Home safe, thanks everybody for the weekend, pictures to follow.

On my way in to Edinburgh the roads were lined with people welcoming me home.......that, or they were waiting to see the Gumball Rally cars leaving Edinburgh.

Also home safely. Passed about 6 Pans heading north and thought "You're too late and missed a great weekend!"

Thanks to all for being so welcoming to a new boy. Please invite me again if I promise not to lose anyone again

My First Trip.

While heading north on Friday towards Derby to meet up with the southern members of the clan ,i was riding along with somewhat of a confused picture of what i was about to let myself in for.
I have not been out in the real world for the past 8 years now, having living a life of bringing up new babies ,milk , nappies and puke.

So as i rode north with images of leather cladded big hairy bearded bikers in my mind-- and having read stories of Northern ritual's of biker group initiation ceremonies, that included blood letting ,biting heads of of chickens and the like, while they all stood around chanting with beer , spliffs and shouting obscenities in some strange Northern accent that i would never understand , i rode on wondering what would happen to me.

Arrived at Derby to find a warm welcome with beer with normal members who seemed not to have any other initiation other than to "have another beer" :D

Riding around the Yorkshire countryside was great with wonderful scenery , which was all organized , i was glad i joined in.

I was pleased to find that all rides ended with a pub and more beer , followed with more beer--- having never been on a organized bike ride before i began to see the attraction , ride bikes all day and drink beer--- afterwards

Thanks to all the members for making a newby welcome and for the advice of what to do on ride outs and how to get lost.

I behaved myself for the last few days so , can i come to another one please ;)

Thanks again,
Ian
