I've yet to make it to Scotland on the Pan, so very tempting. 400 miles door to door so would probably want to make it for more than a couple of nights. So a very tentative possibility for me.

Its not the Ideal place to stay as I am not sure about camping but Moffat and the http://www.buccleucharmshotel.com/index.asp with its discount for bikers and the little sheds where you can park the bike is a good shout

They also run http://www.motorcyclescotland.com which some other suggestions of where to stay and what routes to ride.

Depending on whose going and whether tents are needed then Moffat has single rooms elsewhere for about £30 a night if your lucky

Camping is my preference, so The Ken Bridge is fine by me. Or any place with a camp site. ;)

We stayed just down the road from the Ken Bridge a couple of years ago, supposedly with a local bike group, but they all chickened out when the weather forcast was for rain all weekend. It did rain most of the weekend but we still got about OK to visit Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright.

I think there is a Forest Drive very nearby, if memory serves me right....... and just spotted the campsite at Ken Bridge has Electric hook ups ...... would bikeless people be allowed as well?
