Well the guy on the bike is obviously to blame because the cop talked louder and had a gun. :cop:

I don't really understand what's going on here why is the bike slowing? I know he's entitled to and all that but if I have a car up my arse I'm not going to be slowing down like that. The rider is off the throttle fully by the sound maybe even clutch in I didn't see any evidence of braking by the bike. The officer didn't check id or anything, bit strange. But I do understand that in a moment of shock the normal practice can go out the window.
All seems very odd

Well had it been any other motorist who had struck the rider Im sure he would have been up for dangerous driving or endangerment I believe the Yanks call it.

He was slowing down to let the white car (indicating) on the left to come into the lane and it all went wrong from there. The white car hesitated, the bike went a little faster, then traffic in bike rider's lane came to a stop, bike rider slowed to let car in front and was hit from behind.

Yep... a typical urban situation, all those yes-no-maybe-don't dare-changed my mind-gonna do it anyhow now folks are throughout very successfull in disturbing smooth traffic flow...

And whoever hits a vehicle in front of him (rear ends) has done the infringement, clear as that, no excuses... forward safety distance must be kept at all times
...especially as representative of the law enforcement, role model and all that...

Raises the question if the US authorities even have insurance coverage on their vehicles, or simply claim that the federation has to cover.
