Looks like Break My Wallet owners will have to visit their dealers so they can fix another problem.

Nope Keith. Mine is way older, a 2000. It has that boxer engine designed in 1934 or thereabouts. Very little teething problems anymore. :mrgreen:

Even older according to Wikipedia "In 1923 Max Friz designed the first BMW motorcycles, choosing a 500 cc boxer engine and unit transmission with shaft drive. This engine type is still in production today."
I love being right. If only it happened more often...

My R1200GS will be checked when it goes for service, 2011 model, the 'apparent' fault is possible cracks on the fuel pump flange, as this is after the gasket faces and on top of the fuel tank, there is no real risk attached unless it is disturbed, I for one cannot think of a reason to pull the fuelpump from the tank under normal use.
