Well, I've bitten the bullet. I'm keeping ZZ.

I've discussed the matter with many friends and acquaintances, and the majority by far talked me out of selling. These include most of your valued opinions given here. I realised that the (modest) amount of money she would bring in is marginal against my present debts so it wouldn't really make a big dent in those. She's not expensive in keeping, basically just insurance and road tax, and the odd service and maintenance. As someone mentioned here, I would probably want to buy another bike not too long from now so that would totally undo the proceeds of selling ZZ.

Riding the "BMWSToC" (muhaha) tour with Luc and Annie today closed the final door. It made clear to me that I would have tremendous difficulty saying goodbye to her.

This may not be the wise and sensible thing to do but I'm relieved that I have made the decision. Anyway, buying ZZ in 2002 with my very last money also wasn't very sensible to begin with. 8-)

You can't get rid of me. 8-) 8-) 8-)
Image Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. (Don't forget to vote! Not that it matters...)

Great news mate. ZZ will always be worth more to you and not just in financial terms. :D

You've saved yourself half a box of tissues too! Keeping the bike actually saves you money! :)
