Is that a lowered saddle Bob?
I once got a GS on loan from my dealer when ZZ was in for maintenance, I found that sitting very high, and even I could hardly touch the ground. Until I dropped it but that's another story. You are not as tall as I am so I was just wondering.

Nope standard seat AND suspension, this is not the Adventure version, i need a stepladder to get on that one. The standard GS is actually lower than the Honda XL1000 Varadero was, even with the lowered suspension i had on it. :)

The 'old' R1200GS has gone, replaced with the NEW R1200GS, don't worry i still have the Pan European.

Nice bike. Personally the GS is too high for me, I rode it and promptly dropped it. Couldn't reach the floor in my garage. Dent in ego. Needed assistance to get it up.
