I have gone and fitted BT023GT tyres once more. Boring I know, but a known quantity and seem to generally do well for me.
The next time I might try Road Pilot 4 s which have had some positive feedback, but we are talking 2016 here as I think these ones will now last until then.
I love being right. If only it happened more often...

The rear one lasted 9000 km but that's a mix of solo, two up plus two up and trailer which compares to the BT 23 tyres that I've had before; replaced locally with the standard T30r tyre.

The front has 12,400 km as of Monday night and due for replacement and about the same as the BT 23 tyre; probably go with the standard front T30r.
